These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and PixelForge LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("PixelForge," "we," "us," or "our"), which owns and operates the Remove Bg website at https://www.remove-bg.dev and provides AI background removal and related image processing services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Use of Service

• You may use our Service to upload and process images for personal or commercial purposes, provided you have the rights to the images.
• You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive activities.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

3. AI Models and Third-Party Processing

The Service uses third-party AI models and processing infrastructure to provide image generation, editing, upscaling, enhancement, and restoration features. Depending on the feature and mode selected, the models used by the Service include:

• AI image generation and editing: Nano Banana (Gemini), including Nano Banana, Nano Banana 2, and Nano Banana Pro; and GPT Image, including GPT Image 2
• Standard image upscaling and portrait enhancement: Real-ESRGAN (nightmareai/real-esrgan)
• Anime and illustration upscaling: Real-ESRGAN Anime6B (xinntao/realesrgan)
• Face restoration: CodeFormer (sczhou/codeformer)
• Old-photo and scratch restoration: FLUX Kontext Restore Image (flux-kontext-apps/restore-image)

Uploaded images, prompts, and related instructions may be transmitted to and processed by the relevant third-party model or infrastructure provider solely as needed to deliver the requested feature. The available models, providers, and routing may change as we improve quality, reliability, availability, and safety. Material changes to the production model stack will be reflected on our About page.

References to third-party models and providers are for transparency and identification only. Remove Bg is independently operated and is not the official website of, affiliated with, endorsed by, or managed by the developers or owners of those models unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Image Content

• You retain all rights and ownership to the images you upload.
• You grant us a limited license to process your images solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You must not upload images that are illegal, infringe on intellectual property rights, or contain harmful content.

Content Standards and Prohibited Content

You may only upload, generate, enhance, or otherwise process content that you have the legal right to use. You must not use the Service to create, upload, request, distribute, or promote:

• Pornographic, sexually explicit, or other NSFW content
• Graphic violence, gore, or content that encourages or glorifies violence
• Hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or content targeting protected groups
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualized content involving minors, or any other child-unsafe content
• Deceptive deepfakes, impersonation, fraud, or content intended to mislead others about a person's identity, actions, or statements
• Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual-property or personal rights

Content Moderation

We may use automated safety checks and other technical measures to detect content or activity that may violate these Terms. Reported or flagged content may also be reviewed by trained personnel. When reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, or the Service, we may restrict processing, block outputs, or remove related content.

User Reporting and Appeals

To report suspected prohibited content or appeal a moderation decision, use the support contact published on this site. Please include the relevant URL or task ID, a description of the issue, the reason for your report or appeal, and supporting screenshots when available. Do not include passwords, full payment-card numbers, or other sensitive authentication information.

We will review reports and appeals in good faith and may request additional information when needed. Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular outcome, and we may preserve relevant records where required for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature, severity, frequency, and risk of a violation, we may take one or more of the following actions:

• Block, restrict, or remove prohibited inputs, outputs, or related content
• Issue a warning or temporarily limit access to specific features
• Suspend or terminate an account for serious or repeated violations
• Cancel abusive transactions and deny or reverse credits associated with prohibited or fraudulent activity, except where a refund is required by law
• Preserve evidence, cooperate with payment providers, or report conduct to appropriate authorities when required by law or necessary to address credible safety threats

We may act immediately in cases involving CSAM, credible threats, fraud, severe abuse, or other urgent risks. Where appropriate, affected users may appeal through the reporting channel above.

5. Payments and Credits

• Some features may require payment or credits. All fees are clearly disclosed before purchase.
• Payments are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).

6. Service Availability

• We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Privacy

• Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

9. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

10. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date.
